Art House is a beach house with a difference! Sitting proud on a hill overlooking one of the Central Coast’s finest beaches is this custom designed, architecturally detailed and built stunning two storey home. Quite the renovation transformation from the original old 1950’s shack.
Our clients wanted a high level finish on a modern home that utilises unique materials, and an open design to capture the spectacular views.
Externally, large spans of steel support the roof and allow for an almost unobstructed view. Low maintenance and unique exterior cladding materials, including Shou Sugi Ban (Japanese charred timber) and Viroc panels create a minimalist and texturally rich aesthetic. A custom graffiti front door completes the look.
Internally, a consistent palette of black, white and grey provides a blank canvas for pops of colour and warmth in the form of a large Fornasetti mosaic tiled Bathroom wall, OSB and yellow Kitchen elements, a Mondrian inspired Powder Room tiled floor, spotted gum flooring, as well as the extensive art collection now on display giving this house its name.
This home provides an immersive experience for all of the senses of both the natural and artistic environments.
