Rustic Touch was approached to construct a new home which had been designed by DDC Architects, as the project reflected our own core values, we commenced construction with excitement.

The architect designed the home to benefit from solar passive design, capturing the Northern aspect and ocean breezes, with maximum cross ventilation and natural lighting, eliminating the need for air-conditioning.

The home works seamlessly with the steep contours of the land, yet has just five stairs from the carport to the entry, providing easy access in all weather conditions.

The ease of flow and the simplicity of this open plan home features large bedrooms and extensive glass gives the feel of spaciousness and tranquillity. The four bedrooms and two living zones all have ocean views, achieved by stepping windows and doors out and recessing solid walls, which not only provides views, but also unlimited access to the ocean breezes.

Downstairs, the Blackbutt feature timber screen creates a division from the kitchen space and yet again, all the while note losing sight of the beautiful protected rock pool and ocean beyond.

Patios rap around the living space, covered by Vergola’s, inviting the combination of internal/external living. The use of Vergolas to the north and western aspect gives the ability to control both the sun or shade required, then will automatically close during wet weather.
